Grenoble countryside

There have been very few pictures which I have spent as much time and energy on as this one, from conception to execution to processing.

And there have been very few pictures which I have been as greatly pleased with as this one.

The setting: sunrise breaking over the French/Italian Alps, casting fresh sunlight onto the valley of Revel, in the foothills outside of Grenoble, France.
